App Compatibility with BraX3 (iodéOS) – Community Feedback Thread

Read this, I haven’t read it, X users hit by “Attestation Denied” login error: What you can do

Thanks. Doesn’t say anything new for me though. Best I’ve been able to determine through my research (and ruling out other things), is the unlocked bootloader being the cause, as I said before.

@TheShanMan how did you root the device?

@george if you decide to root, you’ll want to start using the spflash tool to install new builds because OTA’s will fail to install (“download only” option with user_data unchecked). Copy init_boot.img from the spflash build zip to your phone and use the magisk app (“install” action) to patch the file. Copy it back to your computer. Then from the bootloader you run “fastboot flash init_boot_a <patched.img>”. You’ll have to repeat this each time you spflash a new build. If you’re not already familiar with spflashing and unlocking your bootloader, there are threads here that go into it. It’s nice when starting off if you don’t need to save user data in case anything goes wrong, and to build confidence in the process. It’s definitely a “proceed at your own risk” kind of thing, but I’ve found it to be very straightforward and spflash seems to get you out of a bind in case you soft brick your device (I had that happen to me early on). I originally rooted at 7.0, then re-rooted at 7.1 and 7.2. Take some notes so you know the exact steps you need to take each time and it’ll be quick and easy.

I had tried to back up the user data with the SP tool but I couldn’t communicate with the phone.

I’m aware of the slot problem when you unlock the bootloader.

Write a clear step-by-step guide and create a topic because many users have asked about rooting.

I would do it but I’m not intending to root the device right now so I can’t make a theoretical guide.

Hello,

I tried tot install the DigiD app from Aurora and it does install on the Brax3. Nog using it yet…

It’s V6.17.1

In the list on top it states :

DigiD v6.15.0 Rijksoverheid :red_circle: ‘app not available for device

So something changed, but is it safe ?

swipe up, kill Aurora and restart it and if it’s still not working reboot the phone, do the same every time you have the same problem, some apps may refuse to install for some days until Aurora fixes it, in that case you can download the APK file from some website like APKPURE and install it manually

Hi George,

Thnx for your response.

What I meant is that on the list/table at the top of this post it states that DigiD is: not available for device.

But I DID install it through Aurora today.

So I was wandering what has changed for it to work now for the Brax3.

And if it is safe/smart to use on the Brax3?

It’s the usual tricks Google makes against Aurora like YouTube does against yt-dlp , there is a spoofer setting in Aurora to change what the device appears to be but it has never been effective against that error.
