Thinking back, the only time I’ve been offered to delete an update is when I’ve downloaded it but not yet installed it
Thanks for this picture… I chose to delete the july 23 update and then hit refresh and was offered to download the july 30 update. I’ll write more after it’s downloaded. It’s a 1.4gb file. This is going to use up a lot more data as I already downloaded a similar file yesterday and ran up over 5 gb worth of downloads in 24 hours.
same here, i can connect to hotspot on my samsung s25, tried 4 different wifi’s home and job, 5 different AP’s no go.
connect instantly on my hotspot from samsung
also had issues with firewall blocking my esim but when you click iode you can allow the connection and it appears in esims.
just testing the beta lode 6.2 and same results.. local wifi’s 2.4 and 5g dont work
tried all options
So after all that, downloading the new updated file for Jul 30, installing and rebooting, my phone still won’t connect to wifi. Says “could not connect to wifi network.” It sees the connection but won’t accept the password and I’ve tried dozens of times.
Do you know what wireless router you have and what protocol it is using? The devs will need that info if you know it.
Are you able to connect to other wireless networks?
Have you tried restarting your router?
Sorry if these have already been asked and answered
As for the wireless router, it won’t connect to any, not just the one at home. Would I have to provide info on every router I’m trying to connect to? It’s only the Brax3 phone, not any other phone that has problems connecting. I’m seriously thinking about trying that fix that someone mentioned earlier but I’m scared I’m going to lose all the apps that I downloaded (which took a lot of data over 2 days). And yes I did restart the router/modem and my phone after updating to Jul 30th version.
I was curious of this when i was reading through the thread as it would be the most telling and easiest performed step.
I wouldnt say you need to know everything about every network, but if you seen it fail on multiple networks you would be very helpful to troubleshoot with.
Maybe just some easy questions
How many networks failed?
Where they commercial (starbucks, or mconalds wifi) or personal or both?
Could you find any network that would work?
I hear your frustration about rebuilding your setup, that is lame.
Devils advocate…
You will build it to your liking alot faster the second time ![]()
Unable wifi connection BraX3 on Actiontec GT784WN H/N:5A router.
BraX3 can see the router and others. It will not sign in with the password.
Have reset the router and cycled the phone ON/OFF/ON.
No joy.
6.2 is quite old, 6.3 was released with the phone, 6.6 is now current. Was it really 6.2?
beta · master · ota / ota · GitLab shows 6.2 on 25th of july on install as date
Iode 6.6 was released July 30
Brax 3 sees my router too, just won’t accept the password so cannot connect. This is the case for another router I tried too.
OK, that is the installer app version 6.2. But you did then install iodéOS 6.6 with the updater app correct? ![]()
Installed latest is it presented me with.
The weird thing is working in it for 25+ years I can’t figure it out… Maybe add a debug flag?
Thank you for the details of your router that is at least helpful.
You would have more info from your router or AP logs in dev mode than from the phone.
The phone will only tell you so much.
Why can’t you post the brand and model of your router you are trying to connect to at home? Is that so problematic? I told you earlier where to look for that info.
It’s not just one modem/router, another one today at someone else’s house is the same. I suspect it would happen no matter which equipment is used for wifi. But for what it’s worth Actiontec Model T2200H. No matter which router is used, the password is not valid using Brax3, but every other device is fine.
I know that it does not matter in your eyes but it does to the devs. So that’s why I am insisting on it.
Okey so another ActionTec then. Don’t hesitate to post more models which can be problematic as you go.
We need a software solution from the OS developers regardless of the router used.
