Idiocracy (Not just a movie)

Branching from Send the PHONE! thread:

@pizzalinux1 that is crazy, but I have seen some of the videos on Rumble of the crazy stuff going on out there. Definitely not on the MSM.

That is just ridiculous that it is that way just trying to get your mail. You stay safe man! I’m sure it won’t be long before everywhere will be like this if no one acknowledges it and takes action. I’ve had some interesting convos with cops regarding laws allowing all this crime - tying their hands.

Its like in the UK too - You only get what they want you to know. I remember when they were having bombs all over and shutting down tubes, but the news never said a word about it. Shootings don’t happen there, stabbings don’t happen there, no one gets decapitated in their garden, no one gets acid thrown on them, it’s totally safe on the streets - All is well, just “Keep Calm and Carry On”! LOL

I’m east coast right now - most of our problems are little punk kids stealing from porches (because of lax laws on juvies) and the actual delivery people doing it. You see boxes in ditches here where postal people opened boxes and dumped them. We can’t send people birthday cards any more. They just don’t arrive - no point.

In the part of Los Angeles where I grew up (Vermont hood), it is now extremely dangerous. I used ZILLOW to see how much that old house I lived in is worth today. It was an 700 square ft 2 bed 1 bath built in 1922. Today it has a “market value” of $724,000! There are more termites in this old house than there are nails that hold it together. The building is so old that the light switches were actually buttons. I live in a rural area now. When I look out the front window all I see are about a dozen horse just walking around and eating grass. No graffitti, gang markings or homeless. I look in my back yard and the closes neighbor also has a few horses, goats, sheep and a bull. I am not concerned on anyone eavesdropping on my wireless out here. I am mainly concerned with the rotten delivery services ( I must tip the drivers to keep them on “my side”) and the spying that is everywhere via the internet. The typical burglaries and robberies are not frequent around here. All neighbors around here are armed and we protect each other just like in the old west. You should hear this place on July 4.

You might guess what kind of work I am in. One time I got good HD video, face shots, vehicles, lookout and license plates of over $4,000 of deliveries on a porch. I had them XYZ.XXX. The National Shipping company did not care, it is that common. Instead they ate the loss or filed an insurance claim, I don’t know the details. But the most dangerous event that could have happened but did not, is that the resident in the property had just exited the shower when he dog barked. She was literally on the other side of the door where the perpetrator was located while stealing the recently ( 3 minutes ) delivered packages. The delivery truck was followed by another vehicle and when the driver returned to the truck to go to the next stop a “look out” exited the following vehicle and would rapidly walk on the sidewalk looking for possible witnesses. No witnesses another person exited the vehicle to run to the porch and carry the stolen packages back to the car. I caught on to this only because of the time delays. They were extremely fast, rehearsed and well organized. the time delay that caught them was the crook ran back two more times to steal more packages all within seconds. The face of this crook tells anyone he looks violent and possibly involved in crimes involving physical violence.

Where you live sounds nice. As long as neighbours have each others backs you are better off. When you live in a place where your neighbour could be the ones stealing from you… Not so good!

That is crazy with the video of the perps. They sound like organized crime. I’ve heard a lot of them are evil AF - even into like some kind of Satanism stuff. So pretty dull to harming people. That neighbour was lucky she didn’t get in the middle of that. You know they would have shot her.

I had a simular incident in London (UK). Funny enough a Mexican gang member stole my chequebook and sold it on. The bank traced it & admitted they knew exactly what gang it was, but just filed insurance… No prosecution. Makes you wonder… And thay was another courier issue… Royal Mail didn’t have me sign for the chequebook - instead they left it half hanging out of my letterbox… Collab? Probably.

I was trying to be obtuse on purpose. The woman was nude inside her house. She just stepped out of the shower because her dog was barking loudly. ( bad guy only feet away and she did not know it). Her husband set up the cameras inside and out and they and local police reviewed the recordings and could not find anything- Seriously! The front porch camera was mounted near a porch light. This happened during the day. I was hired to analyze the recordings because the police said nothing was recorded. Reviewing these types of videos takes LOTS of time. Most home burglaries take about two minutes! In that city “grapes” are common. What got me upset is that the XYZ shipping company would do nothing about the shipment. They did not care that their driver was followed on his route. I can say this theft is common with USPS letter carriers. They have no radios and no weapons and seem to only care delivering their junk mail on time.

I have found as the population density increases so does crime. There are many reasons for this but one of them is a perceived anonymity and avoidance of responsibility and accountability. The same is true of organizations. The larger the organization the greater is the rate of criminal mischief for similar reasons that I stated. Of course governments of all sizes are included. One factor you might notice is that when an organization has extremes of specialization or generalization in job descriptions crimes become easier to accomplish.

The USPS has hired me to check up on their letter carriers but not for the reasons you might guess. Are you ready? Mistreating of dogs, yelling at them, chasing them, striking them. They are not that interested in incorrect deliveries, theft of mail or packages o even criminal events, as long as the correct postage was stamped they do not care. I have a good one for you. I talked to a local Postmaster of a city. I told him that if I bought him breakfast on lets say Monday across the street from the Postal Annex in that city. We could drop an “Overnight letter” piece weighing a few ounces and costing about USD $50. It was IMPOSSIBLE to deliver it withint the advertised and guaranteed “Overnight Special” cost to the consumer. Why buy the Postmaster breakfast? So he would never forget this experiment. I can drive to another city within 100 miles of here and have lunch ( 50mph x 2 hours on the highway). Yet it could take as long as two weeks for the expensive “overnight Letter” to arrive at a city two hours by driving. I could ride a bicycle and it would take a few days but less than two weeks. So why? Postmasters HATE this. Daring to question their INEFFICIENCY and bungling ways. You might see a parallel in the UK with Royal Post? It is illegal to place a tracking device in US mail. Why ? It would embarrass the USPS about how slothful, slovenly and careless they are with the mail. That overnight letter could travel a thousand miles if you count the needless miles bouncing from one office to the next. All for government “efficiency”.

Oh man!!! That is scary. Makes you realize how unaware we all are. I am a bit more alert than a lot of Americans having lives in a major wold city, but if the danger isn’t obvious you chill & get less and less alert.

Must be interesting analyzing the video though. You probably have a better understanding of the mechanisms of these crimes & what to look out for. Have they ever thought you might be a great asset to speak with carriers (like a paid talk) to teach them what happens, what to look out for, and maybe how to defend themselves (if they ate allowed - I should think/hope the constitution overrides a corporation!)

I think that is the thing with gov or corporation - you are expendable. They will do minimum to assist or protect yoy because they can fill your role with any other joe/jane/robo. I think that is where it is all going. Key people in key places get paid to make everything a hell hole & get some of those Saudi robo cops out & round us all up. To me that’s what makes sense. They want people to be bad so we beg for robo-workers. I don’t really know if that’s my tinfoil hat making me thibk that or if its insightful LOL :winking_face_with_tongue:

Definitely, as population increases you get the polorization effect and group think so basically its like sheep. I have always felt large crowds are dangerous - you are at the worst one’s mercy! Even in England the rural life is different to the “townies”. Way less juvinile crime out away from large city centers. Up until all the hotels hosting illegal immigrants in rural areas things were sound, but now they have brought a lot of rape, drugs, prostitution, theft, beat downs, you name it - almost overnight in these quaint little towns out away feom cities. So you can artificially influence thay by importing the crime syndicates. And they do. Its sad and disgusting to watch it all play out. Its not safe there any more. The police don’t even feign being on the citizen’s side. In fact even saying this could get a person arrested - no constitution of free speech there…

You are spot on about the big corps. I have thought exactly the same. There is no way you could run a small or medium business with that much looseness & waste… They are getting gov money & I know they have a lot of intel agents of all nationalities or “contractors” in a few if not all. If not them you get corporate spies - and I imagine organised crime influence. Where there’s $h!t ($$$) there are always flies as they say! LOL

I can believe it. Royal mail seemed the same - they took staff verbal abuse seriously, but not bothered about true crimes. So weird to me that this is the big concern! I mean that is gov logic right!? Put a bandage on it & look to be fixing an issue when you’re not even vetting to the origin of the problem.

That is so funny about the package! Truth! I had no idea they were that touchy about their efficiency. I just wish they would stop with the junk mail - no matter what country you are in there are always copious amounts of junkmail! That can’t help them deliver!

Like I sent a card to someone 1hour away from me. It ended up going to some other state and then came back in order to to the person it was supposed to go to. I could have driven it there faster. But that is the good thing about the mail - you don’t have to drive here and there! You can leave that to them, but maybe that is really a fantasy! LOL

Analyzing video just takes patience and lots of time. The carriers, all of them know exactly what is going on. They are interested in Profit only. The potential costs to them of one inaccurate or flawed civil complaint will cost them more than all the loses. Attorneys charge over $1,000/hr just to read my findings. I had an assignment inside a utility company and discovered a group of people inside the company stealing equipment, customer lists. Their own technicians helped this crime. About 40 of them were caught. The loss to the company was in the millions. No charges could be brought because this incident would adversely effect required filings with regulatory agencies and the stock could predictable suffer. The worse events for those involved was voluntary resignation, a few terminations for other reasons and a few Vice Presidents were promoted or demoted. This is why similar companies are so paranoid about their own employees and have extreme security measures within the organization. This stuff happens all the time and few people talk about it The same is true for law enforcement. Of course there are honest employees but eventually over time it is difficult for the honest ones to not talk about it and risk their benefits and pensions by talking about it or even acknowledging this goes on. Investor confidence is very important to them. I think your speculation is not accurate. There is no “they” out there. Instead policies ( written and unwritten provide guidance). Employees want to keep their jobs. Some employees only want promotions and do not want anything to get in their way. Others want power through extortion and control. These are the real “enemies”. Multiple these factors within government, supply chain, vendors, marketing and advertising makes this extremly complex and not easy to sort out. I am surprised anything gets done.

I think the phrase " You are expendable " may not be accurate? I speculate that “You do not exist” is a more popular idea. This is valid for employees, vendors, supply chains and customers. They never trust “consumers”.

That is so insane. Though I see it myself all the time.

LOL why trust consumers if you can’t even trust your employees?! Right! Makes sense.

Such a shame though.

Guess where the most loss is because of theft? Not petty thieves, Not grand Theft crime rings, not consumers, not shippers, not porch pirates, not scammers? Employees LEADS the pack! Why? Even Amazon prime screws up. I recently placed an order for an electronic gadget and last night I received three emails 30 minutes apart. The first said shipping delay until Friday Sept 12. Thirty minutes later it said “Out for Delivery”! Thirty minutes after that it said DELIVERED on porch or front door. I looked outside no package? I walked 150 feet to my mail box which is on my street to check mailbox just in case they screwed up again and also close my gate. What do I see the expensive gadget in a package on the ground next to the mailbox?? Typical. You can’t trust any of them. I leave my gates open so they can just drive in my driveway.

Its like people have lost all power of will. There’s a real lack of internalized limits in people today. People think if they can get away with it no harm done, but they never think about it in the way of who will this harm or is it just? Young people, especially, don’t care about these concepts today.

Oh don’t get me started on Amazon! I’ve had that happen too. Like could you make a little effort? I’ve had them do that when they see me in the front garden and could have handed it to me. Its like they avoid contact.

And I always seem to fall through the gap on the AI customer service… my issue is always not solvable by their options. The real people (if they are) are no better.

Yes. If you want some laughs and giggles and then get to cry about it all watch the Movie Idiocracy. This was written in and was supposed to be about a life 500 years into the future. The Film and marketing company did not promote it because they made fun of all the mainstream companies which would be offended. Well it has already happened. Today We are already experiencing 500 years into the future! Idiots have taken over. The smart people stop having children and the only who reproduce have lots of children who are dummies who do not care. Slogans and advertising have taken over and the only response is buy more stuff that does not work even though you expect it – to not work. Like many new 100k cars that used to cost 20k a few years ago. These new cars are blowing engines and the warranties are worthless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjqL_yOYv6M

Important BREAKING NEWS. EACH OF US IS IN A WORLD OF IDIOCRACY. Did you know that the US Army is not allowed to recruit soldiers who have an IQ below 83? So what? well it just so happens that 12.5 % of the US population is at that level or lower. 12.5% of the population is 1/8. One out of eight of us is soo slow that the military can not legally hire us. This explains everything.

I feel it, but I don’t really like IQ measurements. It is not accurate as far as people’s true mental capacity. I think the reason the military uses it is you really don’t want people too dumb to take orders or too smart to understand what those orders mean in the military. Those two groups cause “trouble”. The outliers are not as easy to control / convince and the usual means of incorporation into a group mentality won’t work on them. They have more feelings of distrust. Like you said though, all are lower than outliers or the US average. Those high end outliers are usually “contractors”. (Use the intel, but lose the disruption right!)

Lots of brain damage out there, but on the positive side - it is amazing how people still manage to carry out usual life activities with low brain function. Sometimes those are the most amazing & beautiful people. Actually sometimes those people are better than the average IQ people morally.

I think there’s a big difference between IQ and those who are just morally bankrupt. The worst of the worst of the morally bankrupt have extremely high IQ’s - extremely functional and socially agile. The things those monsters do, without remorse, is frightening. It is hard to fathom. I’m not sure IQ is a good indicator of moral behavior.
