A new beta build has just been published by @vincent, we are looking for feedback on if this solves the wifi authentication issues.

To install it, the beta updater is required, which can be installed from here: beta/UpdaterBetaIode6v2.apk · master · ota / ota · GitLab

If you then refresh in the Updater app, you should see a 2025-08-11 build available for download.

That beta updater can be uninstalled at any time to come back to the stable channel: long press the Updater app, select App info, then click the “3 dots” and choose Uninstall updates.

If you can get on another wifi to download an update, please try the newest 2025-08-11 beta update and report if still not able to connect on your O2 Home Box 6641

I just installed the beta update and I still could not connect to WiFi. I have a Netgear nighthawk AC1900 modem\router (c7000v2). Tried WPA2-PSK (AES) and WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES). Should I uninstall the beta updater? Thanks.

To help get a list of working list of routers / access points please promote this post so we can get more successful wifi users to report their device specifications here for the chart:

I have been able to connect to:

  1. gl.inet ac1200 travel wifi router using wpa2-psk and wpa3-sae with 2.4 and 5.0 ghz
  2. gl.inet gl-arm300 (shadow) wifi router using 2.4ghz.

Let me know if you need anything else and whether or not these can be added to your chart.

That’s our first reported Netgear Nighthawk model with working wifi authentication. Thanks!

Resolved - Absolutely no action taken - 24 hours later, password was accepted by Brax and wifi connected without issue.

I’m not surprised to hear this. Clearly the Brax3 can perform WPA auth becaue it does with hotspots w/o issue. Also, the failure happens in less than a second. There must be some anomaly, like a race condition, or something that is causing wifi not to auth over WPA to some routers in some situations.

I hate to say this; but I wouldn’t be surprised if it stopped authenticating again.

and.. at the first reboot of the router, the same issue returned…

That’s what I was afraid of. It does demonstrate what I suspected though.

@rik @vincent This seems to indicate there is some race condition or some similar anomaly that is stopping the Brax3 from authenticating over WPA. I don’t think there’s an issue with any particular router. I tihnk the Brax3 is just refusing to even attempt to auth due to some condition not being met, or some other issue that is causing the WPA auth process to stop before it starts.

In addition to my regular router which I reported above, my brax3 also fails to connect to my old phone’s hotspot (Moto G7 with LineageOS) using WPA2-PSK. My laptop connects to the hotspot just fine though.

I installed the beta update from august 11th, still getting the same “check password” issue. To reiterate, I have a Zyxel C3000Z. Uses WPA2-Personal.

Thank you. But Where can I get the new update and how do I get it onto the Brad3? I am a grandma and have no one to help me.
