Wifi quality of life on brax3 and slow wifi

So since there is a wifi bug in the mediatek driver.

Let’s dig into the practical reality of it @plamen

You have run test in your lab with the equipment that was “working” with the wifi pre-bug workaround resolution by the iodeteam and the lineageos dev.

You did not test with the actual equipment which the mediatek firmware is at fault.

And I am basis that on your declaration in this post:

I can concur that with the equipment which the bug of mediatek is at fault with, there is a problem of speed, reliability, numbers of errors of transmission occuring.

This is clearly distinctive on the dd-wrt platform which displays it .

This has strictly nothing to do with the wifi 5 specs of the phone. Nor interference. Nothing. Simply the bad connection and handling of datagram transmitted by the brax3 to the antennas. It does not happen with qualcomm phones. or Others.

The consequence of this is unreliable network connection, slow speed because datagram need to be resent several times in order to arrived, temporary loss of connection, higher latencies (I have next to the antennas 400 pings then 200 then it goes straight back to 60-40 while on qualcomm phones I have from 200 in the first ping to directly 7-10 ms) etc.
So it would be nice that we had a timeline and regular updates concerning the resolution of the bug in the firmware of mediatek concerning the wpa standard.

OK this makes a lot of sense now. On IODE 6.9 I am also experiencing a significantly slower (5 & 2.4 bands) network comms than other phones that are much older…even when placed within 1ft of the access point. Presently it is not enough to make the phone unusable, but it is not good. I also have serious issues with the 4G signal strength (not the sim or carrier, both of which I have tested using other handsets etc) which does render the phone useless - it is currently a handsome paperweight. I wonder if the 2 are connected or very unfortunate coincidences (Apologies if not - I have not looked at the ref architecture)
