One of our core missions at Brax Technologies is to make privacy-respecting mobile tech more accessible—without locking anyone into a single way of using their device.

That’s why we’re committed to openly supporting the porting of custom ROMs to BraX3, as long as they are open-source and privacy-friendly. Below is the current list of operating systems officially supported or in progress for the BraX3:

Fully supported

iodéOS

• Status: Fully supported
• Major OS Version: Android 15
• Installation: BraX3 ships with iodéOS by default. You can also install/update it manually following our guide.
• Developer: iode

LunarOS

• Status: Fully supported
• Major OS Version: Android 14
• Installation: Manual installation required. You can install/update it manually following our guide.
• Developer: lunr

In Progress

Ubuntu Touch

• Status: In progress
• Installation: Manual installation required. A guide to install will be shared after the port is successful.
• Developer: UB Ports

If you have a favorite OS you’d love to see on BraX3, let the developers of the OS know! We’re happy to support ports of open-source, privacy-friendly operating systems and are even open to funding development efforts. Ask them to reach out to us directly.
